This unit is capable of charging any i-phone or i-pad products. It
works on the same concept of charging a high capacity Li-on battery either by
the sun or plug in. The unit holds the charge until you are ready
to charge your ipad iphone or other device. All Solar Chargers
are limited by physics, the size of the solar panel, and the storage
battery. The larger the panel, the faster the charge, the bigger the
battery, the more it stores but it takes a little longer to charge as
well. All Li-on devices need to be wall charged the first half
dozen times to maximize battery capacity. They all come with
battery level lights and have an automatic shut off No need to
leave your phone or i-pad in the sun, just the charger
