The basic I-Charger works well in very sunny areas and provides a 1900mAh
battery. It can be charged via the wall (2 hours) or in the sun 30
hours. It is very compact (yet a large battery) and therefore has only a
small surface to work with, so it takes the longest to charge via the sun.
This unit functions best as a back-up with solar as a second option
(due to longer charging time required).
This unit is capable of charging any i-phone product . It works
on the same concept of charging a high capacity Li-on battery either by the sun
or plug in. The units hold the charge until you are ready charge your
ipad, iphone or other device. Each of the units is limited by physics
and the size of the solar panel and the storage battery, the larger the panel,
the faster the charge, the bigger the battery, the more it stores and it takes a
little longer to charge as well. All Li-on devices need to be wall
charged the first half dozen times to mazimize battery capacity.
They all come with battery level lights and have automatic shut off so they
don't overcharge or overdischarge. No need to leave your phone or
i-pad in the sun, just the charger unit.
